I think the others in our group would agree that one thing that made the trip truly special is John MacFarlane. He is without question the best guide I/we have ever experienced. His knowledge is beyond reproach, he built an excellent rapport with the group, and in general made the trip smooth as silk for us. What sets him apart, in my opinion, is his ability to provide golf lessons and advice for the guys. He REALLY helped our guys, especially with their short games and putting. He has a great eye and a unique ability to articulate why what he is suggesting works. He is a winner, for sure.

There were many "high points" of the trip, but our group all felt that John Macfarlane who escorted us throughout Scotland, was definitely an asset. He is absolutely dedicated to the comfort, enjoyment and entertainment of his guests. At every locale, he went above and beyond the "call of duty" to make sure were always cared for. That level of attention to detail is a rare quality in this world. He is smart, funny and a very caring individual. You can be proud to have him represent H & B for any of your travelers. Words cannot adequately describe the superb job don by our driver, John Macfarlane, who made the eight days i spent in Scotland with my son, a truly "once in a lifetime experience"' From the moment John met us at the airport baggage area, he immediately made us feel at home. He was always punctual, always paid attention to the details of the trip, and at our request, was always ready to make suggestions for site seeing trips and restaurants, every one of which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. My son and I quickly became so attached to John that it was as if he was a member of our extended family who was showing around his home town. In conclusion, John was an essential part in making our golf and travel around Scotland as simple as possible so that for 8 days, we did nothing but enjoy the golfing and dining experiences.
